PREDICTRONICS TO CO-MODERATE IMA-APC COUNCIL MEETING AT ADVANCED PROCESS CONTROL SMART MANUFACTURING CONFERENCE 2022

OCTOBER 11, 2022

Predictronics is excited to be a part of the Advanced Process Control Smart Manufacturing Conference 2022.

Predictronics CTO Dr. David Siegel will join colleagues Dr. Xiaodong Jia from the University of Cincinnati and James Moyne from the University of Michigan and Applied Materials on October 13th from 9am-1pm to present and moderate at the IMA-APC Council Meeting during the conference.

This year’s meeting topic is ‘Towards Establishing a U.S.A. Roadmap for High-Mix Semiconductor Manufacturing.’

Predictronics and our co-moderators were recently awarded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. With this funding, we will build a technology roadmap to advance the future of intelligent semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S. by defining the needs, barriers, applications, and priority research areas within the industry. These efforts will help improve the overall competitiveness of the U.S. in the global market. Our team will also work together to establish a U.S.-based AI consortium to address challenges faced in high-mix production, including semiconductor manufacturing.

One key step we must take to achieve these endeavors is to consult with experts in the semiconductor industry to determine the technical obstacles in their ecosystem, specifically challenges faced by U.S. interests, and collect ideas on how artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) can play a role in providing potential solutions to address these hurdles.

The IMA-APC meeting will serve as a forum to collect this input, helping Predictronics and partners in our roadmap development efforts.
