Aside from being a technical program chair for the conference, he is also a panelist for the Smart Manufacturing PHM session on October 5 (Wednesday) from 10:30 am to 12 pm (Crestone A). He is also the chair for the Railway PHM session scheduled on the same day from 1:15 to 3 pm (Cripple Creek B) with panelists from PARC, National Research Council Canada, Alstom Transport, VisioStack and GE Transportation.
David was chosen for these positions based on his active participation in the PHM Society, having won two data challenges and contributing several technical articles in the PHM Society Journal.

David Siegel is currently the Chief Technology officer (CTO) for Predictronics Corp. David has several achievements in the Prognostic and Health Management (PHM) area and has published numerous influential academic articles in prestigious journals such as IEEE, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, International Journal of PHM and so on. He has won first place in the PHM Society Data Challenge Competition in 2009, and 2011, and best paper awards in 2013 and 2014 at the Machine Failure Prevention Technology Conference (MFPT). As a former PhD student at the IMS Center-University of Cincinnati, he has been involved in numerous PHM projects involving various critical assets found in manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, and railway applications. David has a bachelors, masters, and PHD in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
